User Manual - Without ST2 Cartridge
Turn the 3-way valve to the fresh water position. Make sure the control panel pressure regulator knob is fully opened counterclockwise. After 15 minutes, turn the 3-way valve back to the closed position to stop all water flow (see image below).
Remove the 5-micron filter located in the prefilter bowl.
Procedure Using a Bucket:
- Pour the contents of the sterilizer bag into a bucket containing 10 liters of fresh water.
- Close the seawater intake valve, then disconnect the seawater inlet hose. Immerse this hose in the bucket containing the sterilizing solution
- Turn the 3-way valve to the seawater position and start the watermaker without building up pressure. Let it run until the bucket is empty. The system enters safety mode after 1 minute; you may need to restart the watermaker to complete the procedure.
- Once the operation is complete, reconnect the hose and reopen the seawater intake valve.
Procedure Using a Garden Sprayer: If you have a garden sprayer, you can carry out the procedure manually :
- Dilute one full bag of sterilizer in 10 liters of fresh water, then fill the sprayer with this solution.
- Pressurize the sprayer to 3 or 4 bars
- Close the seawater intake valve, then disconnect the seawater inlet hose
- Turn the 3-way valve to the seawater position and inject the entire sterilizing solution into the seawater inlet hose of the watermaker.
- Once the operation is complete, reconnect the hose and reopen the seawater intake valve.
IMPORTANT: Three hours after the sterilization procedure, it is essential to rinse the membranes for 5 minutes to eliminate any excess sterilizing powder. To do so, turn the 3-way valve to the fresh water position. Let the water circulate for 5 minutes, then turn the valve back to the closed position.
Sterilization duration: Sterilization is effective for a maximum of 6 months. If this period is exceeded, the full procedure described in this manual must be repeated.
IMPORTANT : Before restarting the watermaker, a complete rinse with fresh water is mandatory. Turn the 3-way valve to the fresh water position and let water circulate for 15 minutes. Then turn the valve back to the closed position to stop the water supply. Finally, insert a new 5-micron filter into the prefilter bowl.
