Frequently asked questions

For coastal navigation, a battery powered watermaker (12 or 24V) can be used. For deep-sea navigation, a power generator will be justified by other needs as well as the desalinator. I will then have the choice between a 220V watermaker or a DUO bi powered desalinator.

If the watermaker is not used and you cannot rinse it once a month with fresh water, please sterilize your membranes. 
BEWARE: Not more than twice a year.

A solenoid rinsing valve is mounted on the pre filter(s) which is activated for two minutes when reducing pressure.

If you use the watermaker every two or three days, it is not necessary to rinse it: Please just switch off before reducing pressure and the rinsing operation will not be done.
